Font de sa Cala Holidays

Travel Agents View shallow blue water, set back into a sheltered bay and framed by low rocky cliffs and pine groves

Font de sa Cala is a village resort located in an attractive and natural setting ideal for relaxing holidays on the pretty beach or enjoying outdoor activities such as walking and hiking, tennis and golf, horse-riding and diving.

The beautiful Font de sa Cala beach is a Blue Flag beach of white sand and clear, shallow blue water, set back into a sheltered bay and framed by low rocky cliffs and pine groves. Watersports are available from the beach and include sailing, windsurfing and a dive centre.

The Tennis Academy Font de sa Cala boasts 11 courts and offers various courses for adults and children of all abilities. Canyamel Golf Course is a Par 73, 18 hole golf course with good practice facilities, a golf school, restaurant and beautiful location just 2km from the resort. The Capdepera Golf Course with stunning scenery and enchanting restaurant and terrace is 8km.

Font de sa Cala has some good restaurants, a number of bars and shops as well as general facilities such as banks and supermarkets. There is a regular bus service to nearby towns and resorts and a tourist mini-train into neighbouring Cala Ratjada.

Nearby resorts and attractions include Capdepera with its medieval castle and traditional street markets (3km) and the busy resort of Cala Ratjada with its pretty harbour and choice of boat trips. Font de sa Cala is approx. 75km from Palma Airport.

Majorca Insider The Beach Club is vast and has some of the best sports amenities in the area

Situated on the north east coast of Majorca, some 3kms south of Cala Ratjada, this lively summer resort is dominated by its popular Beach Club and its many facilities including a tennis academy. With breathtaking views of craggy mountain terrain and glistening seas, Font de Sa Cala is very much a typical family resort with a lovely bay and sandy beach. Its location also makes it an ideal place for exploring this part of the island either on foot or by mountain bike.

The Beach Club is vast and has some of the best sports amenities in the area - 13 clay tennis courts with professional coaching, squash courts, petanque lanes, archery, fitness studio, and massage and sauna. There's also Pula golf course close by. A popular restaurant in the resort which offers a good range of Majorcan and pasta and fish dishes is Bambu. For those who like a spot of shopping or nightlife, I'd head to Cala Ratjada which has a fantastic selection of bars, restaurants and clubs.

While staying here, I'd suggest visiting the beautiful Caves of Arta and for those with a hire car, to pootle around some of the nearby villages and hidden coves. For a short excursion, a visit to the medieval castle overlooking Capdepera town is well worth a visit.
