Lloseta Holidays

Travel Agent's View

Travel Agents View Lloseta is situated on the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range and is just 20 minutes drive from Palma.

There are a few bars and restaurants in the town and also a theatre which often hosts concerts and various other events.

Although there is not that much to do in Lloseta, you will find a greater variety of bars and restaurants etc in Inca which is only 5 minutes away.

Insider's View

Majorca Insider This is a really pretty and sleepy little town which sits on gently undulating foothills in the heart of Mallorca's rural central plain. Lloseta is traditionally known for its leather production and shoe making, although there's not a lot of that going on these days. The tree lined approach to the town is stunning and the chapel of the Virgin sits on the edge of the central leafy and tranquil square.

To coin a popular phrase, not a lot of people know this, but Lloseta is home to a fantastic little theatre with a vibrant programme of musicals, classical and pop concerts and local events and celebrations.

I came here for a classical music concert and was hugely impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the locals fervour for the pearl within their midst. There wasn't a spare seat in the house.

Aside from the theatre Lloseta is home to two fabulous restaurants, Santi Taura which offers a fantastic tasting menu for less than 25 euros but do book early, and also Celler Ca'n Carossa which serves an inspired menu and has an airy and peaceful garden.

There's a market every Saturday morning and if you feel like venturing away from the town, do visit the wonderful Bodegas Castell Miguel, a prize winning vineyard which is German owned. The wines are delicious and if you worried about ageing the owner, a professor, might offer you domr Rerveroxan, a red pill he's created which apparently aids good health and long life. Who knows but maybe it's worth a punt.

Also not far away is the oil factory and shop of Caimari. It offers a great opportunity to stock up on pure virgin olive oil to take back home but do remember to pack the bottles very carefully in waterproof bags!
